BLACK CIDER//
Coming off the back of winning trophy at the NZ Cider Awards we're super stoked to come away with another top award for our beautiful BLACK Cider. Check out what the judges had to say:
"In recent years, if the New World Beer & Cider Awards are on, so are Morningcider! The cidery, based in the thriving Auckland food and drink suburb of Morningside, are regulars here and this year they’ve landed with an impressive-looking black can containing two types of “black” fruit: blackcurrant and blackberry. The flavour is intense, deep and rich: reminiscent of Ribena but with more complexity and elegance. “Vibrant berry aroma and great blackcurrant flavour,” said the judges. “Light and tart but with plenty of body. Long tart berry finish. The palate is full and rich. Hints of vanilla. Cider has complexity and blackcurrant melds well. Good crisp acidity. Moreish and delicious.”
CHERRY BOMB //
This wonderful collaboration won top 30 in the 2023 New World Beer and Cider Awards.

Citizen saved over over 700,000 cherries which would have otherwise gone to waste. The judges notes reported Cherry Bomb as, "Bright. Pale brick colour. Attractive cherry and cinnamon notes. Full body with great intensity/complexity of fruit and spice. Good balance and long length."
HOT X BUN //
Not only that, we are stoked to announce our highly sought after, limited edition Hot Cross Bun Cider also nailed the top 100! The judges had this to say: "Bright. Mid straw colour. Attractive level of cinnamon on nose. Delicious rhubarb-like characters on palate, well integrated with cinnamon. Good balance and long length of flavour. Very enjoyable." Awwwww- we think so too!

Our most award-winning cider! This pink beauty is the 2022 Gold medal winner at NZ Cider Awards and was one of two ciders that made it in the NW TOP30 for Beer and Cider Competition. We are so proud of her.
